What are Educational Games?

Educational games are games that have been specifically designed to teach students about a certain subject, expand their knowledge of something, reinforce understanding of materials, grasp the concept of important historical events and cultures, or assist them in learning a skill as they play.
They include board, card, and video games. Board games are games played with counters or pieces that are placed on, removed from, or moved across a "board." Card games are any games using playing cards, either traditional or game-specific. Lastly, video games are games played on the computer that enhance learning while being engaged in a game so it can make learning fun.
